Tennessee Right to Life endorses Rep. Eric Watson
for State House

Nashville—The state’s oldest and largest pro-life organization has
enthusiastically endorsed Rep. Eric Watson in his bid for re-election to the
state House seat representing Meigs, Polk and portions of Bradley county.
Watson is endorsed based upon his pro-life convictions and willingness to
work for life-affirming solutions to societal problems.

Announcing the endorsement, Brian Harris, president of Tennessee Right
to Life, expressed the committee’s strong support for Watson. “At this
point in the battle to restore Tennessee’s common sense pro-life laws, we
need leaders just like Eric Watson,” said Harris. “The 22nd district is
strongly pro-life and we need to ensure that another strongly pro-life
Representative is sent to Nashville from district 22.”

Karen Brukardt, Legislative Liaison for Tennessee Right to Life agrees.
“Having met Eric Watson, I can say that his commitment to the protection
of human life should be a sign to the voters of the 22nd district that he is a
man of principle.”

Tennessee Right to Life has active chapters in Bradley, Meigs and Polk
counties and is a non-profit, grassroots organization dedicated to the
protection of the most vulnerable in our society, especially those
threatened by abortion.

NFIB Endorses Eric Watson for State House

NASHVILLE- The National Federation of Independent Business,
Tennessee's largest small-business advocacy group, today announced its
endorsement of Eric Watson (R-Bradley County) in his bid for state
representative in District 22. NFIB/Tennessee's backing is aimed at
mobilizing its members and grassroots activists to ensure victory for
Watson's campaign

"Eric Watson believes wholeheartedly in the role small business plays in his
district and across Tennessee," NFIB/Tennessee spokesman Jim Brown
said. "Eric is well respected, and he will represent small-business owners,
their families and employees in his community exceptionally well in
Nashville."

Brown said Watson's commitment to small business is broad. Watson,
whose family owns two small businesses, supports lower taxes, regulatory
reform, access to affordable health insurance and lawsuit-abuse reform,
and he opposes a state income tax.

"I know from personal experience that small businesses are the heart of
our community in Bradley, Polk and Meigs counties," Watson said. "We
need more common sense from our state government to help small
businesses thrive, and I'm eager to represent our district's entrepreneurs,
who are responsible for creating most of the jobs and opportunity in our
community."

Today's endorsement comes from Tennessee SAFE (Save America's Free
Enterprise) Trust, NFIB's political action committee. NFIB bases its political
support on candidates' positions and records on small-business issues. It
brings considerable clout and grassroots momentum of Tennessee's
small-business owners to these campaigns. NFIB's nod also brings voter
education efforts directed at its membership.
